Welcome to the resource website of the New Glarus TAG Advocates!
The New Glarus TAG Advocates began in 2001 as a group of active, concerned parents who wanted to see the New Glarus School District better address the needs of its gifted students. We met monthly at that time and developed the Goals and Objectives for the TAG Advocates, which we presented to the School District.
Since that time, the School District has made great strides in addressing these unmet needs. The School District employed a TAG Coordinator, adopted a TAG policy, began an identification process, and implemented several educational approaches that benefit gifted students. You can obtain more information about the identification process and these programs from the TAG Coordinator. The TAG Advocates now meet twice per year to share information and to learn about progress in the School District toward meeting the needs of gifted students.
Over the years, the TAG Advocates gathered information about resources, programs, websites, and other organizations outside the School District that benefit gifted students. We created this website to bring all of that information to you in one place and to give you the benefit of our years of information gathering. Please click on the links on the left to review some of the many resources available to help gifted students.
We hope you find a great deal of useful information to help guide you in your decision making for the gifted child in your life!
